Title: Software Developer – Virtual Reality (VR) + Augmented Reality (AR)

Position Type: Part-Time (10+ hours per week)

Position Location: On-site in Luray, VA (All work must be performed on site, this position does not have any remote work available.)

The ideal candidate would have experience with C#, Unity, and Oculus/ViVe in a multi-user/player environment.  Additional experience with network engineering, game design, GPS, Unreal, Dynamics 365, ESRI ArcGIS, training, and/or simulation would also be helpful.  Knowledge of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML (Machine Learning) would be great too!

We know our ideal candidate does not exist.  So, we are looking for someone with basic software skills and a strong commitment to grow their technical abilities.  You are not expected to have all the needed skills for every task but the ability to quickly learn.

Qualifications:

• Able to demonstrate "position skills" via training, portfolio, and/or experience
• Must have strong communication skills
• Must be able to follow detailed instructions
• Must be able to work alone or with a team
• MS Office skills are preferred
• Must be able to work outside of comfort zone
• Software development course work would be helpful
• Successful applicant must be a resident and maintain residency in an SBA HUBZone.

• Languages: C#, C, C++, R, Python, Java, Ada, COBOL
• OS/Platforms:  Windows, Linux, Ubunto, Rasberry PI OS
• Networking: protocols (BGP, SMTP, SNTP, etc.), IPV4/IPV6, Pen testing, hacking
• Game Engines: Unity, Unreal, Gamemaker, Godot, AppGameKit, CryEngine, Amazon Lumberyard, RPG Maker, libGDX, Urho3D, Dynamics 3D
• Great imagination!
