JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide SME (Subject Matter Expert) support on a program that aims to develop software algorithm systems capable of performing whole-body biometric identification at long-range and from elevated platforms. The program will address a fusion of biometric modalities to include face recognition combined with whole-body signatures, such as (but not limited to) body shape, anthropometry, and/or gait. Research will address analysis of visible spectrum imagery at ranges out to 1,000 meters and at pitch angles up to 50 degrees. Research advances in the program are expected in the following technical areas: person detection and tracking in full motion video, image enhancement, atmospheric turbulence mitigation, face recognition, gait recognition, and whole-body recognition.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelors' degree in physics, mathematics, computer science, or relevant engineering fields (i.e., electrical, computer, biometrics,systems, mechanical, software) with six plus (6+) years of work experience in one of these fields or Masters' degree with two plus (2+) years of work experience.
• Two (2) years’ experience in the identity intelligence or biometrics domains.
• Two (2) years’ experience in the Intelligence Community (IC), including experience with requirements, CONOPS, security procedures, and technology transition.
• One (1) years’ experience with technical evaluation and assessment techniques.
• Ability to proactively manage multiple, concurrent tasks.
• Excellent writing and editing skills. Ability to develop succinct, comprehensive, understandable documents using complex data from multiple sources.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Two (2) years’ experience with software system design and integration.
• Two (2) years’ experience managing a multi-disciplinary research and development (R&D) or Test and Evaluation (T&E) team.
• Masters' degree or PhD in physics, mathematics, computer science, or relevant engineering fields (i.e., electrical, computer, biometrics, systems, mechanical, software) with four plus (4+) years of work experience.
• Two (2) years’ experience with R&D of machine learning or deep neural network algorithms.
• Two (2) years’ experience in any, some, or all of the following topics: biometrics, system design and integration, image processing, computer vision, software engineering, DNA profiling, proteomic profiling.
