Job Title: Social Media Coordinator - Trainee

Work Schedule: Part-Time at 10 hours per week. 40 hours per month.

Location: Luray, VA.

Responsibilities:

The Social Media Coordinator-Trainee will play an active role on the development of online community for the assigned company presence. The Social Media Coordinator-Trainee will help maintain the company’s presence on various social media platforms and help create and publish content that is relevant to our customer base.

  • Updates Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and emerging application(s) accounts.
  • Responds to posts or comments to bring value to user’s interactions with company.
  • Post and interacts with local or relevant organizations and interest groups.
  • Performs research to find articles, stories, resources, or other content that is relevant to our customer base and posts it to our social networks in a manner that invites conversation and interaction.
  • Updates social media accounts with current and relevant photos, video, or other content from company’s activities and events.
  • Maintains current information in Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and emerging accounts.
  • Utilize word of mouth marketing, Internet marketing, and Internet marketing techniques to increase traffic, company awareness, and job applications.
  • Coordinate updates to main website.
  • Works to coordinate similar look and feel to all of company’s communication media
  • Coordinates with management to generate press releases.
  • Coordinates with VP of Human Capital to support outreach projects and ensures proper branding of company’s job board.
  • Coordinates content of company’s newsletters.
  • Ensures all of company’s social media is accessible via mobile devices.
  • Develop and maintain a press release packet on company’s website.
  • Qualifications: Applicant will train to fulfill all job responsibilities.  Individual will be provided training at work and on individual’s own time.  Training will be focused on individual obtaining and maintaining selected certifications.

Education/Experience:

Minimum Associate Degree in communications, management or technical area.
