JOB TITLE: Game Community Manager/Influencer - PART-TIME

LOCATION: Luray, VA (MUST reside in SBA designated HUBZone)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our “Indy Game” game is looking for a part-time Game Community Manager for our Meta Quest 2 VR title “Tube Be Continued”. The role will be focused on building and engaging our community of players across various social channels (Discord, Twitter, Reddit, etc.), researching marketing opportunities, and supporting the development team with Q/A testing when needed. We expect you to have a passion for video games and the communities around them. You may support prior and/or future game titles.   YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH Meta Quest 2.
• Manage the Tube Be Continued social community across various social media channels.
• Monitor and moderate the Tube Be Continued social media venues (e.g., Discord) , and promote community interaction.
• Create announcement posts for game updates.
• Interact with community members and respond to their questions/concerns.
• Compile community concerns and report them to the development team.
• Promote community growth by reaching out to potential community members on social channels.
• Foster interaction with and promote Tube Be Continued to influencers and VR content creators.
• Respond to reviews on App Lab/Side Quest.
• Create and share posts promoting the Tube Be Continued brand across social platforms.
• Research marketing opportunities for Tube Be Continued.
• Identify and interact with professional game reviewers.
• Assist with Q/A play testing by writing detailed bug reports when needed.
• Work with web developers to ensure web sites are current.
• Determine need for supplemental merchandising and supplicant distribution.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must display a passion for video games and be active in online gaming communities.
• Exhibit a strong interest in and knowledge of existing game communities and social media platforms.
• Familiarity with various social platforms including: Discord, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Twitch, Reddit, TikTok and YouTube.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills - English.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Proven ability to work well independently and within a team.
• Past experience playing or working on virtual reality games is preferred (Quest 2 a plus).
• Familiarity with App Lab and/or Side Quest is a plus.
• Experience in content creation (streams, video, etc.) is a plus.
• Prefer experience/education/skills in creative writing, communications, journalism, public relations, or marketing is preferred. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Previous experience in a video game community focused role or in online moderation is preferred.
• Graphic and/or software development skills would be a benefit.
